Purpose And Goals
The Cornell Chapter of the Boricua-Latino Health
Organization (BLHO) was founded in 1985. Its goals and purposes are:
1. To recruit promising Latino men and women and advise
them about the opportunities available to aid their communities through the
health professions.
2. To provide opportunities for community involvement to
strengthen and foster ties with various NYC communities.
3. To retain members via academic and social support.
4. To provide members with mentors, role models, and
opportunities to network and discuss medicine with other Latino students and
health professionals.
